Leading the charge for the Devils was junior captain Kevin Doolan, whose 30 points included 5-for-6 shooting for 3 pointers and 6-for-7 shooting on two's. "The team just got me the ball a lot and I was open most of the time," said Doolan, the tournament MVP. "We didn't do anything different, we just moved the ball really well." Doolan's 30 points marks the first time in five seasons for any Ridge player.
The Devils also had big contributions from Matt Gerrity with six rebounds and six assists to lead the team in both stats. He drained two 3 pointers for six points. Ryan Byrnes added 10 points with Hugh Morris and Derek Lyons adding 8 points each.

THEY SAID IT
"We are certainly getting better. We are improving every game and that's our goal. Kevin Doolan had a monster game for us and I think Hugh Morris got us off to a good start. Obviously when we shoot the ball well, we play really well. When we get that balance between the 'bigs' and the guards, we are a pretty tough team to play against. Hugh (Morris), Lane Lagband and Ryan Byrnes did a great job for us tonight in the paint." — Ridge head coach Brian Feath
"I think we are just really good friends. We move the ball really well and no one is selfish on the team." — Kevin Doolan
UP NEXT
Ridge will travel to Franklin next Saturday, Jan. 5, for a 1 p.m. game.
