Christmas Eve Collection for Lyons Veterans Exceeds Goal

Bedminster resident Stacia McDonough spent the weeks before Christmas collecting as many scarves, hats, gloves and other warm gifts for her second annual "They Kept Us Safe, Let's Keep Them Warm" collection. She delivered the items on Dec. 24 to previously homeless veterans living in Hope for Veterans housing at the Veterans Administration campus in the Lyons section of Basking Ridge.

Fire at Verizon Still Under Investigation

Volunteer firefighters from Basking Ridge Fire Co. were busy on Monday responding to a report of a fire in the bathroom at Verizon. The size of the corporate complex encouraged the Basking Ridge firefighters to call in backup from nearby companies, including Bernardsville.
