There's been a number of burglaries or thefts from cars in Basking Ridge in the past several months — but one home break-in reported by police this week netted thieves watches, earrings and more. No arrests had been made earlier this week.

Unbeaten Ridge Red Devils Football Reaches State Championship

If you're a Ridge Red Devils football fan, it doesn't get any sweeter than this. The team defeated Linden on Friday night in the second round of the state playoffs, and now moves to the finals. The win also kept intact the Red Devils' undefeated season record, now 11-0. 

Unoccupied Bernards Township Home Burglarized For Copper Piping

Police say a home that was vacant was robbed — not of jewelry or cash, as has been more common. Instead, copper piping was reportedly sawed out of the basement.

Delicious Heights Outpost Opens at Former Bamboo Grille Location

After officially obtaining the liquor license of the former Bamboo Grille restaurant last week — with conditions attached to noise and live music restrictions — the new Delicious Heights Outpost has opened at the Basking Ridge Country Club, and has taken over catering at the facility as well.

Allen Road Construction Continuing into Next Week in Bernards, Bedminster

Overnight construction on Allen Road and Schley Mountain Road in Basking Ridge and Bedminster sections of The Hills, which began last week, will continue into the middle of last week.

With Hannukah and Thanksgiving falling on the same day this year, Chabad of Basking Ridge's giant dreidel already has been pieced together and placed alongside the Jewish center on Valley Road again — but this year with a special invitation. The community can stop by and take a look inside the 18-foot-high dreidel and pick up some gelt and a (much smaller) dreidel.
