Baby Jesus Figure Stolen From Basking Ridge Lawn

The owners of a Nativity scene along Mount Airy Road and Bernards Township police were asking for a stolen figure of Baby Jesus to be returned after it was apparently stolen around Christmas.

Carpenter is Appointed Mayor, John Malay is Deputy Mayor for 2014

The Bernards Township Committee met on a snowy Jan. 2 to select this year's mayor, John Carpenter, who has lived most of his life in Bernards Township and has served on the Township Committee for eight years. He was mayor once before, in 2008. Township Committeeman John Malay was chosen as deputy mayor, which traditionally puts him in line for mayor next year.
