With Township Committeeman Scott Spitzer having resigned in early August, the Township Committee now has the responsibility of selecting one of three candidates named by the Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee.

The Ridge Tavern Closes For Renovations on Thursday

The sign behind the restaurant says the kitchen was closed, as of last Thursday. A manager previously said the restaurant will undergo renovations.

A Dream Started in Basking Ridge Spreads Education in India

Anish Patel, who while a student at Ridge High School launched Uplift Humanity to spread education of academic and life skills, returned with a group of volunteers this July, and was lauded by an Indian leader. A group  from Uplift Humanity will march on Sunday in the Indian Day Independence Parade in New York City.

Bedminster's Temple Found Safe, Will be Reunited with Family

After many tense weeks since June, during which chances of safely locating Roger Temple from Bedminster may have seemed to be dwindling, Temple, 44, was spotted by Port Authority PD at a small park on the New York side of the George Washington Bridge at around 9:30 p.m. last Sunday. "Port Authority officers recognized him from a distributed flier," Bedminster police Chief Pat Ussery said Monday morning. Temple was described as "exhausted" but "safe" and was hospitalized after being found, according to the Missing Roger Temple Facebook page
