This place is good but not great - the sauce tastes like its out of a can sometimes. Prices are a bit high also.

Wonderful aromas of Italian cooking greet you in the parking lot at Cafe Rustica. Reminiscent of a country cottage, the interior includes warm wood paneling, a bar and two dining rooms. Chef Giovanni and his wife Theresa have owned and operated the place for over 10 years, providing Basking Ridge residents with a cozy place to dine or celebrate special occasions. The menu is decidedly Italian, but has American dishes as well. Its ribs are particularly popular, as are the personal pizzas. Enjoy beer on tap, select a martini or order a fine bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal.

Rustica is always great. Contrary to another review I have only experienced meals prepared from the freshest ingredients.
The portions are huge. Child friendly . Liquor license. Menu online including prices.
The testament to the quality of food is the need for weekend reservations.
A few of our family favorites: the Grilled Pizza with chicken, arugula, bruschetta tomatoes, mozzarella, and shaved parmesan cheese. Pasta Fagioli and Potatoe Leek soup, Rigatoni Paesano, Amalfi Pollo, Veal Saltimbocca alla Romana, and any entree cooked with shrimp or scallops is cooked to a delicious perfection.
Homemade Tiramisu is yummy.
