Established in 1965, the Lord Stirling School is an alternative school designed to help at-risk students with severe academic, behavioral or emotional challenges. The school provides an individualized, supportive, therapeutic environment with a focus on one on one interactions with therapists and teachers. The students, aged 7 to 21, must be recommended by the Child Study Team at their sending schools. The Lord Sterling School can help students prepare for the SATs and college. Students who graduate receive a New Jersey High School diploma. Admission is available year round depending on capacity.
