I received information about home workers wanted. I wanted to check up on them before Imailed any money. The company name is Preston Lord Enterprises, 5 Lyons Mall - Suite 777 Basking Ridge, NJ 07920, no phone or email. Can you advise me of any information about the company? Or who else to ask? thanks for your help. Jeanette Fusco, Newtown, PA jhf413@verizon.net

Jeanette,
I received two of these letters and I believe it is a scam. Someone on another website mentioned it is a legitimate business, but I believe Preston Lord Enterprises answered that himself.
Call the BBB in Trenton, NJ. 1-609-588-0808. Good Luck, Renee

The state's lawsuit is part of "Operation Empty Promises," a nationwide crackdown against work-at-home scams announced today. THE LEGAL ACTION WAS TOO LONG TO PRINT HERE.

He is one big scam Artist, They call these Pyramid scams. and one way of finding out if a Buisness is lagit.
Is to call the number and ask them to call you back, and they should show up on your
caller ID with the name of the Company.
Another way is the BBB And never believe postings that people say about the company on blogs, Because the Man , lets use Mr.Preston will and does put up their own comments saying just how wonderful it is and easy too start up.Its all crap.
And you will also find they never answer your call. I read many books about scams.
Check some books out at your local Library. They are free to use and a good way to get iInformation With that being said. Let people know this so these scammer can not make money off of Despite looking people trying to make a living.

If they do not Answer their phone calls or say they will call you back if you leave #
take a message, that kind of thing.
This is a scam.
They should not ask for money up front with out even interveiwing you,I would like to believe is another.
go check books out at your local Library thats free. and a good sourse of info .
I believe this to be one of those Pyramid scams.

I've also been reading about this. It seems that this company was or was part of a company called Maxwell Gates Enterprises. From what I read that company also a work at home company was a total scam. I read that Preston Lord is kind of on the edge, they say you can make $10.00 per envelope stuffed and sent to receive a paycheck once a week. What they don't say is that you only get the $10.00 for orders. Which makes sense, once I thought about it I started to wonder how would they know if my envelopes had been sent out? Were they just going to trust that I had done my job and cut me a check? Anyway I read a bunch and it is my opinion that this company is as close to a scam as they can possibly be. Just say'in. :)

Dear Renee
Do Not WASTE your time or money on Preston Lords Enterprises. what they are not telling you is that yes you will get the material as promised. Eventually but you will not get paid for every letter sent out but only for what envelopes come back with a sale involved so if you mail out 290 envelopes and only 2 of them come back wanting to sign up also and those 2 pay their money. you will receive 20.00 NOT Really worth it. Hope this Helps

Checked them out. Their address does not match zip code on post office cancel. Post office who canceled letter is in Lendale, Pa. Clear sign it is a scam. You only get paid for what is returned by customers. Not ten dollars for every letter you sent. Another clue is suite address. Promises to much. How do you get money back. No firms or info on money back. You are most likely be sending the same letters that you received. Getting you to do all the work. Clue is zip code differences on envelope. Save your money. Keith

You almost sound like Preston himself with the words. I received your letter today but it was to staple booklets. As I continue to read I realized everyone was referring to my stuffed notification that was mailed from ND but the return address was NJ. I still don't trust this. Besides I'm a homemaker looking to make me some extra money but for a person to be as upset as the owner would be to defend another persons honor is beyond my demise. Weird. I'm not gonna try it and ramen noodles my kids love as a snake.

I am going to start this job pretty soon. I think that this is a good thing for me to do. If the paychecks don't lie, then why complain? Something tells me that the directions will tell you to put the return address from you on the stuffed notification even though the return address was from them. I intend to try this, if you have received paychecks from them and seen a report on the BBB, then I am going to go with positivity. Thanks Joe.

This program is a SCAM SCAM SCAM. I have invested at the $300 level and have done mailings for 4 weeks, only to receive a check for the first time this week for $10. I have requested a refund under the money back guarantee and have not received any response. Save your money, you can make a better living flipping burgers at McDonalds, or delivering newspapers to your neighbors. This company should be shut down, and from doing further research that seems likely to happen soon as they are already under investigation by the FTC.

3:09 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2013
You guys, read the mailer. This is called network marketing. You get paid when someone signs up. If you send out 100 mailers and 1 responds, you get $10. If 25 respond, you get $250. Free Enterprise at its best. What this company is doing, is using entrepreneurs to invest the cost of the postage for a chance to earn commissions. That's all. Some people make a little bit of money. Some make more than others. By the way Jake and Joe, how do they reimburse the postage? I'm thinking of joining. Also, the reason that the zip codes don't match, is because it was sent out by member from a different zip code. Not rocket science, just stuffing envelopes for a commission.

Would you post the telephone number so we can call themow and verify them? and how did you get $1400 in one week which does not fall in any level ? I read the letter many times and did not understand how do they know that we sent all letters ? And why they list an 800 with costumer needs while the letter for recuriting us? those are legit questions before throwing such a huge fee of $299.00 and we have the right to call and ask them?
Joe davies

Do you not know how to follow simple instructions Maya? Only customers get the phone number. I made more than $1400 a week in the past. Forget the levels they initially sell. If you want, you dont have to stay at those levels. Those just get you started. You can mail a million letters a week if you want. I mail as much as I have time for. You will get the phone number from them when you join just like i did.

Hello Joe Davies, Thanks for your comments. Now I have sent them the $299, and I am VERY HOPEFUL, but it does seem as though they are not really so truthful when they Guarantee that I WILL RECEIVE $10 for EVERY envelope that I Stuff & Label, with what they send me. Is, in fact, THAT NOT TRUE. Isn't it true, like in EVERY Sales situation, that I only get PAID for the positive RESPONSES that THEY receive from my mail-outs ?? I mean, REALLY, how can they TELL ME, straight up, that I WILL RECEIVE $10.00 for every single letter I put together, and MAIL, AND for which I PAY THE POSTAGE. Now, I am REALLY trying to stay very positive, and Hopeful about this, you know, but all I get is that VOICE-MAIL Msg. Thanks, Joe

Joe,
You have a very defensive. Immature even response. That alone makes you question WHO you are in all of this.
You came on here to STATE the company is legit and you make money.
Then you chew people up that have reservations about the company and take PERSONAL offence to the questions they have.
It is apparent...even to the IDIOTS as you refer to them, that you are a BIG part of this whole business.
Being that...why not use the floor to answer some of the questions. I do see you addressed the $10 per letter as being "only if you get a response" and that was great to know for some people on here. And it is a matter of sending mass amounts out because the statistical ratio is higher. So I see there is some money to make....but how about some constructive incite instead of the DEFENSE. That will probably get more people to be interested if they can make and educated and informed decision. Food for thought Joe. Knowledge is power!

Ken, it doesnt say that anywhere. I still have the letter. Read the letter again. They make it very clear to anyone who actually READS the letter that theyre paid for responses. I found the letter to be truthful and more importantly, i get paid weekly. Mishka, dont waste space with posts like the one you wrote directly above. Are yopu here to play psychologist? Nobody is interested. I dont react well to idiots who attack a company they know nothing about, and I'll continue to call them out. I dont care if people buy this program or not. Well JOE, for not being a part of this company you do visit this site like it is in your best interest somewhere to defend it. As a business investor would and should!
You bring NO relevant points to any of the concerns people have on here, You are Pete and repeat with your vague feed back. And it's common sense and an educated statement I made. Far from a psychologist.
I think EVERYONE on this blog are well aware YOU ARE affiliated with this company. It is what it is. Just enlighten some people with facts to the inquires..It really is that simple. You state you are just someone who is making money doing this...just your average JOE! So why the hesitation to share with people? You care enough to talk SMACK to people on here. But you don't care to share something useful with us. So to step out of the perspective you see me as and into something you can understand a little better...I CALL BULLSHIT! So maybe you should stop pretending and do your business some justice. You have quite a good scam as some would refer to it...and for some they would be upset...but I say congratulations. You came on to something that makes you money effortlessly. Not all can have that! But with that come confrontation...be prepared to back up your statements. Or don't make them and then complain about the feed back you get.
You have an amazing day! =~)

Best of luck to all of you who choose to invest in this business. And I hope you all make money and good money. But research...research and MORE research! Well we ALL want that easy way to make money. But be cautious. I don't know for a fact that this is a scam. I do see possibilities of making money in this business. But how much comes out of your pocket as an end result. And If JOE is making money as a regular JOE and not part of this company....GREAT! But I don't think he is who he claims to be. And on that note. It was interesting researching this company.
Good luck!

Its funny to see you use the word "research" when you have no idea what youre talking about. What research? Reading a bunch of posts from people who have never used the program qualifies as research? I'm not the only one online sharing success stories about this, and I am not an employee of the company as you so ignorantly suggest. In fact, I dont care at all if any of you ever buy it. I'm more than happy to be the only one profiting, especially when I see foolish, ignorant comments from the uninitiated masses as evidenced here. Baseless accusations like this make me angry. My next check from Preston Lord will be just under $900. I only worked 8 hours this week. Unless youre all making over $100 an hour like I am with Preston Lord, you have no basis to comment

Hmm @Joe, how do you know how much you WILL make if you just sent the letters out this week? You have to wait for the letters to be sent back to "the company" before you are paid do you not? I smell a rat folks. That's research enough for me. According to Joe's ignorant ass you'd have to make an investment before you can get any info from the company in order to do any "real" research. Don't buy it yall. Its a brilliant scheme, I wish I came up with it myself. If you sign up you will receive a certain amount of letters, labels and envelopes. The letters will be the exact letter you just received. The $10 you get per response will come from other good people like yourself who send their money to Joe, I mean Preston, in order to participate in the program. For every person you mail a letter to who turns around and pays $99 to $399 to become an envelope stuffer, you will earn $10. You also have to pay the postage for all those letters you mail out. The company says you will be reimbursed but I don't see how. What I don't understand is how you will be paid the $10 per letter. This company is in NJ but my letter was postmarked in Philadelphia. On the application there is a line where you write down your code number (your initials plus 4 digits). This is probably how they claim they will track your letters. However, what I do not see is the code number of the person who sent this to me. So, how they gon get paid? Mama aint raise no fool.

Frassy, youre a moron. That pay isnt for this weeks mailing. Its this weeks pay for what Ive done over the past weeks. Your comments prove what an idiot you are. There isnt one negative comment from anyone who has seen or used the program. Look online. Everyone who has used it has made money. Youre the same type of jerk as the rest of those posting on this thread. Not one thing you wrote is correct. Typical ignorant assh*le with nothing better to do. Probably on welfare like everyone who comments out of their a*s. I make over $1000 a week with Preston Lord. you spend your time making idiotic, uninformed comments. You should hang yourself

I did receive one of these letters in the mail today, I became curious and immediately went online to Google the company. I stumbled on these comments and have been ROTF every since. Joe Davies, you put up a great defense...so based on your tenacity, I am going to try this company out. I will update you all the naysayers on my progress.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained! If it's a scam, then move on. If it's legit, time will tell. I sent $ 199 just like you, and am waiting for the stuff to come in the mail. If not, then I know I will pursue a lawsuit against them. If they read these comments, then they should respond. No need to talk trash, just be straightforward with the info people are asking for. Thanks for listening! Pablo

I'm with you on this Pablo, When not try it? Yes there is both good and bad reviews. If they are scamming me, then like Pablo said I will get my money back somehow or another. If they aren't then you all will be the first to know all the details. You don't know till you try. I have heard of other offers like this before and they were legit, so what would make this one any less legit.
I used to get paid to stuff envelopes all the time by real companies. Only time will tell if this one is the real deal. I will keep ya'll posted.
Also keep in mind, if you got your materials the next day...how legitimate do you think the contacts would be? Companies can't just send info in the mail to anybody, somehow somewhere you have to submit your contact info to allow companies to send you information. With that said. I will keep ya'll posted.

Here you go gang... I did the research and this is posted on the "BizCovering.com" website. I have no interest or relationship with this company or the BizCovering site. Just reposting what I found.
In short, you should get paid $10 for each product that is sold by the company. At an industry average of 1/2 to 2% return rate, you may have to mail as many as 10,000 envelopes to make $500. Unless the postage is reimbursed by the company, it will cost you $3700 ($4200 postage - $500 income), to mail the 10,000 envelopes. A pretty good deal for the company and a pretty expensive hobby for the prospective employee (envelope stuffer)...
Best Wishes.
Rick
