After a mess of a season, the Jets look to move forward with the right signal caller. Who do you think is the better option this season?
Practice makes perfect, and if you take a look at the Jets’ performance last season, they need a lot of practice. But don't fear Jets fans, Gang Green is already on the practice field at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park. Hundreds of fans attended the team's mini-camp Tuesday and got a good look at the Jets' current quarterback competition. While projected starter Mark Sanchez was throwing a pass, a Jets fan could be heard saying, “he looks good out there, he is in control,” while another muttered, “False leadership.” Draft pick Geno Smith and Sanchez took turns running the offense, but pay no mind to the order in which the names are written. Geno looked good and was putting the ball on the money but Sanchez was much…

Video, more photos on epic game between Don Bosco and Ridge, from which Ridge emerged the NJSIAA Lacrosse Tournament of Champions.
Both Ridge and Don Bosco Prep made it to Saturday's NJSIAA boys lacrosse Tournament of Champions final by gutsy, relentless defense and sharp-as-nails offense. Here is some video and more photos from the big game, along with a previous story and photos on Ridge's groundbreaking victory. Ridge had always preached that team defense helped drive the offense. Both teams put together strong performances, but Don Bosco coach Mike Springer felt his Ironmen could have done more. "Maybe our shot selection wasn't the greatest today. We were getting beat on too many of the draws in the second half but we knew we'd be in the game. I'm proud of the season these guys had." "Alec (Burckley) is one of the keys to this program," said Ridge coach Ken …
Devils defeat Don Bosco 8-7.
The NJSIAA Boys Lacrosse final Tournament of Champions final pitted two teams, Ridge and Don Bosco Prep, neither of which had never been to the big game before. Both teams got to this game by gutsy, relentless defense and sharp as nails offense. The game delivered all the hype and may have been one of the finest high school games played in 2013. Ridge had always preached team defense that helped drive the offense. And the ever present weapon of the control of the faceoff. Today they gave their best performances of the year, and quite possibly the only way they would beat a terrific Don Bosco team. "Alec (Burckley) is one of the keys to this program," said Ridge coach Ken Marsh. "He wins the ball, he is a warrior. He plays offense, he does …

Ridge will meet Don Bosco Prep in state Tournament of Champions final this Saturday.
Just a month ago, Ridge boys lacrosse faced Rutgers Prep in the Somerset County Tournament and took that game 10-4. In Wednesday night's state Tournament of Champions game, as at the county tournament, Rutgers Prep repeated its early gain of three goals. That may have kickstarted Ridge, which relentlessly closed out Prep for the rest of the game, moving the Red Devils onward to a final winning score of 11-3. The team now returns to Kean University on Saturday to face Don Bosco Prep for the final state TOC game. The first quarter was a closely contested period, with each team scoring three goals. During the period, Rutgers Prep managed to take the lead at 3-2. But at the close of the first quarter, Ridge put an end to the Rutgers offense …
