Ridge Can't Hold on Despite Mahon's 19 Points

The Ridge High School boys basketball team traveled to county rival Watchung Hills' home court for a game Thursday night. After leading for the first 28 minutes, Ridge was unable to close out the final four minutes of the fourth quarter and block a Watchung Hills comeback. IN SHORT At the end of the third quarter, Ridge held the lead at 37-21. But after trailing for the entire game, the Warriors crept back into the game and tied the score at 41-41 with 4:11 left of the fourth quarter. Ridge had numerous opportunities, but could only muster 9 points in the last period missing on 4 of 6 freethrows in the last minutes of the game.
