Driver Killed After Being Ejected From Van on I-78
N.J. State Police say fatigue may have been factor in one-car accident early on Wednesday morning.
A 51-year-old man who was not wearing a seat belt was killed early Wednesday morning after being ejected from his van that careened off two guardrails and struck a concrete bridge overpass support on Interstate 78 westbound in Bedminster, State Police said. David Pandorf, of Phillipsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the 5:30 a.m. crash, according to the state police report. According to State Police, Pandorf's white 1996 Ford van veered off the highway to the right, hit a guardrail and then returned to cross the highway and exit left onto the median.
