Where to Vote in Bernards Township? Some Locations Changed

Locations listed on sample ballots may not match revised polling sites after Sandy.

The number of voting locations for Tuesday in Bernards Township has been consolidated as a result of continuing power outages and other after-effects of Superstorm Sandy. Those new polling places are set for Election Day even if power is restored at other locations. Bernards Township Clerk Denise Szabo said residents should check their actual voting district on their sample ballots, not only the previously assigned polling locations. Those polling locations may have been changed after those sample ballots were mailed out, she said. Polls will be open on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., she said. She said that the municipal building at 1 Collyer Lane remained without power as of Monday, and results will tallied at the Bernards Township police…

Hope signs are posted directing voters from regular polling places to new spots...because many of us are still without power and internet! A neighbor directed us (District 9) to Basking Ridge Fire House on Washington Ave. They were handling Districts 1-9.   more ›
