Ridge Girls Basketball Roars Back For Victory

Red Devils girls beat Montgomery on home court Tuesday.

The Ridge High School girls basketball (3-8) was down at the half in Tuesday's game against Montgomery High School (5-7), but worked some magic starting in the third period that ultimately led to a 45-38 victory for Ridge on their home court. Trailing 24-13 at the half, Ridge came roaring back in the third period to tie the score at 27 with 2:11 left in the quarter. Ridge would take the lead and never look back.   Ridge was led by senior Katelyn Neillands with 18 points, scoring on three 3 pointers and 9-14 shooting from the free throw line.  Sam Mahon added 10 points, Kristina Mueller 9 points, and Monica Schumacher another 7.   NEXT UP: Ridge will host North Hunterdon Thursday at 7 p.m.

Ridge Boys Basketball Starts Season With Win

Boys led opening game against North Hunterdon the entire way.

Ridge High School Red Devils boys basketball started their season with a strong  56-39 over North Hunterdon High School. The Ridge team led the entire game, played at home. The Ridge Booster Club gave the first 100 Ridge fans special tees. The Ridge girls played an away game at North Hunterdon in Annandale. According to NJ.com, North Hunterdon took the game 40-24.

Ridge Boys and Girls Basketball Seasons Open Friday

Both teams face North Hunterdon High School at 7 p.m.

Both the Ridge High School boys and girls basketball teams kick off their seasons tonight with games against the North Hunterdon Lions. The girls face North Hunterdon at an away game that begins at 7 p.m. at North Hunterdon High School, 1445 Route 31, in Annandale The boys take on the Lions at home at a 7 p.m. game at home at Ridge High School, 268 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge.
