Currently, I lead the NJ Teen Safe Driving Coalition, an initiative funded by The Allstate Foundation in partnership with the National Safety Council. The Coalition, through its more than 40 individual and organizational members, works to engage, educate and mobilize communities to work collectively to develop and improve safe teen driving programs, practices and activities based on the proven principles of Graduated Driver Licensing. When I'm not working on safety initiatives or speaking at conferences or to community groups, I'm cheering on my son's (West Morris Central HS & The Freeze) and husband's (head coach at Montville HS) ice hockey teams. I'm also an avid reader (mystery and legal thrillers) and long distance walker as well as an extremely mediocre golfer. I recently earned a Masters Degree in Leadership and Public Administration from Centenary College. Additionally, I hold a certificate in Advanced Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors Degree in English from Lebanon Valley College. I'm also a nationally certified child passenger safety technician (yes, I can help you learn how to properly install your child's car seat!). I've lived in Long Valley (Washington Twp., Morris County) for the past 13 years and love the community. Hershey, PA is my hometown (it's not a good day if I don't have a Hershey bar) and I'm proud to be the daugher of a Milton Hershey School Alumnus ('54). If you don't know about MHS -- the school that Milton and Kitty Hershey founded as their legacy (not chocolate) -- be sure to check out www.mhs-pa.org.
