Ridge Freshman Orientation Set for Wednesday

New students can meet guidance counselor, tour the high school, hear from the principal and speak with upperclassmen.

For those new Ridge High School freshmen or new arrivals who are approaching the school year with a combination of trepidation and excitement, many of their questions will be answered at the school's "freshman and new student orientation" scheduled for Wed., Aug. 28.

Students will have an opportunity to meet with a guidance counselor; take a tour of Ridge High School, which has many wings added onto the original building; hear from Ridge Principal Frank Howlett and hold a question and answer session with upperclassmen, according to the school website.

Students with names ending in A to K will attend orientation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. that day, and are asked to gather at 8:45 a.m. in the auditorium lobby.

Students will names ending in L to Z are scheduled to meet in the auditorium lobby at 11:45 a.m., for an orientation session to be held from noon to 2 p.m.
