Two days before the Warren Township branch of the Somerset County Library is due to reopen, the library is due to host a free "Meet Young Adult Authors" program.

However, the program is scheduled to be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday next door at the Warren courtroom, 44 Mountain Blvd.

The courtroom has hosted some of the library's programs since the building closed in mid-November to allow for repainting and other interior improvements. It is due to reopen on Thursday.

Authors Caela Carter, Corey Ann Haydu, and Jessica Verdi will present a program on “Finding Truth in YA Fiction.”

First time authors Carter (Me, Him, Them and It), Haydu
(OCD Love Story), and Verdi (My Life After Now) have received
critical acclaim for their debut novels for young adults. At the library, they will discuss the health, mind and body issues faced by their characters and teens today, as well as the overall informative and entertaining power of contemporary Young Adult literature.

An open question and answer session will follow, with an opportunity to ask the authors about their books, the creative process that goes on behind the writing their novels and how they got their books published.

To register for this teen program (recommended for ages 14 and up) please access the online calendar at http://bit.ly/1ishWfS, or email Linda Tripp,
Young Adult Librarian at ltripp@sclibnj.org.
