Funeral Will Be in Basking Ridge for Local Doc, Pilot

Dr. Emil Bisaccia was a dermatologist with offices in Liberty Corner, Morristown and Ohio.

Funeral arrangments for Bernards Township resident , 59, a dermatologist who died when the single-engine plane he was piloting alone crashed on Saturday in Ohio will be handled by in Basking Ridge, the funeral home confirmed on Monday afternoon.

Bisaccia was a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon with who primarily saw patients at the Morristown center, according to Affiliated Dermatology's website.

However, Affiliated Dermatology also has an office at 14 Church St. in the Liberty Corner section of Basking Ridge, where framed magazine covers identified Bisaccia as one of the top physicians selected by New Jersey Monthly Magazine and New Jersey Savvy Living. The website also said Affiliated Dermatology has a center in Dublin, Ohio, near Columbus.

An employee at the office in Liberty Corner said no further details were available on services for Bisaccia.

Bisaccia was identified on the website as a founder of Affiliated Dermatology, who primarily saw patients at the Morristown Center. He was a professor of clinical dermatology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and associate clinical professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He taught medical students, residents and fellows, as well as maintains his active involvement in clinical research, the website said.

Bisaccia's credentials also were listed as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, as well as a Fellow in the American Society for Laser Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery; American Academy of Dermatology; American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; American Society for Dermatologic Surgery; and American College of Physicians.
