Despite the snow, Heartworks in Basking Ridge, on the border of Bernardsville, held a ceremony and set up a display on the lawn of the Heartworks building on Route 202 to "honor the families in Newtown, Conn., who are living with loss on the one-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting."

The ceremony was described by organizers "as way to remember and re-gain perspective in honor of those living with the unimaginable."

The silhouette memorial, dedicated on Saturday, will remain up for two weeks, through New Year's Day.

People are welcome to visit at any time during that time period to walk around for prayers and reflection. The ceremony included a singer and a reading of the names of the victims.
