'Munch & Music' Outdoor Musical Performance In Bernards, June 28

The Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce (BTCC), will again partner with chamber member Ridge Family Dentistry (RFD) to offer a special outdoor music and lunch experience on Saturday, June 28th, from 11am till 2:00pm, in downtown Basking Ridge. Titled “Munch & Music,” the BTCC & RFD will provide free music on the front porch of Ridge Family Dentistry, 44 South Finley Avenue, in the Ridge town center.

Music will start off with Ken Salvo and his New Orleans Ragtime Trio. Specializing in Dixieland Jazz, Ragtime and Swing. The second half of the event will feature area favorite, Michale Andrew. Andrew, a solo guitarist-vocalist, with something for everyone: Sinatra, '40s, '50s, '60s '70s to 2014. He presents the works of James Taylor, Billy Joel, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Young, CSN, Eagles, Van Morrison, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Jack Johnson, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Jimmy Buffett, Folk, Blues, Party Rock, Jazz, and some original tunes.

The Ridge Restaurant and Mizu Sushi in downtown Basking Ridge, are a couple of the restaurants that will be preparing “to-go” lunches at different price points for people to enjoy the free outdoor music. Some seats will be provided, as well as an assortment of downtown benches. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs.

“We want to bring people to our commerce centers and this is a relaxing way for people to take a break from work or running around, enjoy lunch they can pick from a Chamber Member business and listen to some great music courtesy of the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce and Ridge Family Dentistry,” comments Al LiCata, President & Executive Director BTCC. “We enjoyed partnering with the Chamber last year with “Music & Munch” and now we enter our second year of providing perfomances that we trust the greater community will come and enjoy,” states Dr. Joyce Kurdian, DMD, Ridge Family Dentistry.

“We enjoy utilizing our porch for the Caroling on the Green and other community events. This is another way we can help bring people to downtown Basking Ridge. Working with our Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce makes events such as the “Munch & Music” run smoothly and enjoyable for all,” states Dr. Cam Witt, DDS of Ridge Family Dentistry.

Ken Salvo & The New Orleans Ragtime Trio will be set up on the porch of the Dentistry and begin playing at 11am and continue till approx. 12:30pm. Michael Andrew will then begin at 12:30pmand run till 2pm. “This is a wonderful program for downtown Basking Ridge. It allows people to relax, listen to music, walk about our downtown and enjoy our food. We are very happy to support the Chamber and Ridge Family Dentistry on this program and hope a great many come out to join us,” offers Joe Canderozzi, Owner of The Ridge Restaurant.

“We encourage everyone to come out and grab a bite downtown and enjoy the music, the shops, the atmosphere at our “Munch & Music” on June 28th. We will continue working to make “Munch & Music” a regular part of our annual Chamber programing,” concluded LiCata.
