Sunday Dedication & Reception at Bishop Janes UMC
Local girl scouts renovate Youth Room at Bishop Janes to earn bronze award.
This Sunday at 9:30 a.m., there will be a dedication ceremony and reception at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church in Basking Ridge, where Girl
Girl Scout Troop 60757 is earning their Bronze Award by renovating the Youth Center room at the church.
The Youth Center room is for students in grades 6-12.
The Girl Scouts working on the award are Victoria Anderson, Hannah Heinemann, Jessica Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Lauren Keenan, Emmalee Lafean, and Kyra O’Dywer. All of the girls attend William Annin Middle School.

In order to earn the award they will have to each complete 20 hours on the project. After the room is finished, the girls will hold their monthly meetings there. The Youth Center room will also be used by the Middle School and High School youth groups at Bishop Janes for Sunday School lessons as well as social and sacred activities.
