A Cappella Jamboree 2012 !


Ridge
Light Opera of New Jersey
will present its16th annual production of an A Cappella Jamboree featuring the renown collegiate singing groups,
The Colgate Thirteen of Colgate University and the Tigertones of Princeton
University. The groups will be introduced by the Gargoyles from Grace Church in
Madison, NJ.


America's Most Widely Heard
All-Male collegiate a cappella Group.
 The Colgate Thirteen, founded in 1942, brings
together a unique blend of song and humor, performing over 100 concerts per
year across the USA.
Old and new
musical favorites supply the Colgate Thirteen with an active repertoire of over
100 songs.


The
Tigertones are Princeton's
signature all male a cappella group.  After sixty-six years, the Tigertones use a
constantly expanding repertoire ranging from traditional ballads and jazz to
barbershop, Broadway, classic rock, and American pop. The Tigertones continue
to entertain audiences of all ages and musical tastes that provide universal
appeal.


The Grace
Church Gargoyles are a young men’s a
cappella
ensemble based at Grace Church, Madison.  The dozen boys in the ensemble range in age
from 7th to 12th grade and have sung repertoire ranging from sacred music to
popular styles. They have sung alongside such diverse groups as Drew
University’s “36 Madison Ave” and the “Hermitage Ensemble” of St. Petersburg,
Russia.


A
Cappella Jamboree will be performed at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 140 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ
on Friday November 9, 2012 at 7:30 PM


The
church is wheelchair accessible.
