School's out in a month or so, the weather is warming up, it's time to think about...vacation!

Certainly, vacation must be one of the sweetest words in the English language, but if you want it to turn out to be a sweet experience, you have to do a little planning.

Many people have learned, maybe the hard way, that they can't always figure everything out themselves when they're planning a trip.

There still are travel agencies out there which have adapted to the post-Internet era of travel — and travelers who realize that travel agencies can come in very handy when planning a trip, especially to someplace entirely new, or to a destination that is one of the agency's specialties.

So this week, we're asking: What's is your favorite travel agency in town?

How has a local travel agent helped you? What do they do that made you decide that you were better off with their services than without?

What assistance and insight do they provide that you can't get from online travel planning? And have they given you any good ideas? Do you think going to a travel agent can be worthwhile?
