Charter Day Officially Open
The street fair is open until 5 p.m. and entertainment goes until 10 p.m.
Hundreds gathered at noon today for the official start to Bernards Township Charter Day, celebrating 250 years since the township received its charter from King George II.
The streets of Basking Ridge, from Henry St. to Finley Ave. and more are lined with tables boasting the best of the township, with food, games, information about the many opportunities the township has to offer, and more.
Several officials are present today, including U.S. Representative Rodney Frelinghuysen, Somerset County Freeholders and members of the Township Committee.

The celebrations continue all through this afternoon and evening. Parking is available at Ridge High School and Town Hall and other lots in the area, with shuttles running between the lots and downtown.
