A Place for Single Parents (and Non-Parents) to Enjoy St. Patty's Day

The Bernards Inn holding an event for local singles on St. Patrick's Day.

Each week, Patch will tell you about a great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier. (and maybe a whole lot more enjoyable.)

Getting a break from the kids and duties around the house can be even more difficult for a single parent. This week, the Basking Ridge Patch found an event that would be tailor-made for some single parents who want to escape to world of grown-ups (right in the town next door.)

The Bernards Inn on Mine Brook Road is hosting an evening for "sophisticated singles" at inn’s St. Patrick’s Day  Signature Style Singles” event from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 17.

The inn at 27 Mine Brook Road will offer a chance to enjoy a premium open bar and savor hors d’oeuvres in the Silver Vault and Wine Pantry. The event, costing $50 per person, is open to  ages 35 to 55.

"Singles get to meet a lot of interesting new people and enjoy the surroundings of the inn, along with wonderful food and drink," she said.
