High Praise for Basking Ridge's Tsuru Japanese Cuisine

Tsuru Japanese Cuisine in Basking Ridge features a strong seafood menu with well-prepared food – especially the fresh and delicious sushi and sashimi, according to a review in the Sunday New York Times Feb. 17.

The restaurant, which opened in 2010, offers an expansive menu featuring 12 soups and salads, 13 sushi bar appetizers, 22 kitchen appetizers, 27 rolls and hand rolls.

The reviewer recommends the generously portioned tender unagi don (with eel) and the luxurious crispy duck — leg, breast slices and rolls.
