Basking Ridge Teens Train As Jr. Firefighters

Junior firefighters from area receive training from veteran firefighters in Morris County.

Two young Basking Ridge volunteers were among 100 Morris County teenagers spent 150 of their summer's hours to train become a junior firefighter at the Public Safety Training Academy on Hanover Avenue.  The course — the same training received by older firefighters — includes classroom and hands-on training.

Patch presents shots taken Tuesday of the final training sessions of this year's firefighters-to-be.

These kids are terrific! What dedication and commitment from young men that could otherwise be hanging around getting into trouble.
