Food Donations Are Needed, For Thanksgiving and Beyond

Here are some local organizations that are looking for food and monetary donations to help the needy during the holidays.

Looking to help out your neighbors in need? There are plenty of local organizations that can put your donation to a good use. Contact these groups to see how you can help make this holiday season better for another human being:

  • The Somerset County Food Bank is accepting monetary donations and gifts of food that will go to families who could use the help. Drop off food donations Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 9E Easy Street, Bridgewater in the MiddleBrook Crossroads Industrial Park. Checks can be made out to The Food Bank Network of Somerset County, Inc. and sent to P.O. Box 149, Bound Brook, NJ 08805
  • Curbing Hunger, Inc. in Basking Ridge organizes food drives for local use. For information, call them at 908-344-5571 or email info@curbinghunger.org.
  • The Samaritan Homeless Interim Program Inc. in Somerville is looking for donations and volunteers for the holiday season and beyond. The organization helps the homeless. To volunteer or send a donation, call them at 908-393-9545.
