Healthy Kids Day at Somerset Hills YMCA, April 26

On Saturday, April 26, the Somerset Hills YMCA will celebrate YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day® with a free community event that encourages kids and families to live healthfully and to stay active. Healthy Kids Day will be held from 2:00 – 5:00pm at the Y, 140 Mount Airy Rd in Basking Ridge. The event aims to help parents encourage healthy habits among their kids through fun, active and creative activities for the whole family.

Busy schedules and life’s daily demands make it difficult for parents to ensure that their children are practicing healthy habits regularly. As a non-profit, the Somerset Hills YMCA’s cause is to support families by strengthening the community through youth development and healthy living.

“At the Somerset Hills YMCA, youth development is a key area of focus for our organization. We believe that children should have every opportunity to discover their potential,” said Kim de Zutter, Senior Director of Family Services at the Somerset Hills YMCA. “Our hope is that Healthy Kids Day will help parents understand the many ways in which the Y nurtures youth by motivating kids to stay active and to keep learning – important building blocks for a healthy future.”
