Another Car Burglarized in Bernards Township

Police remind residents to lock vehicles.

Bernards Township Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles following a burglary of yet another unlocked car parked on a road in The Hills section of the township last weekend.

Police said that at about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, a 2010 Honda was parked unlocked on Patriot Hill Drive in The Hills, and an unknown person or persons opened and removed a cell phone charger.

The township had experienced a number of car burglaries in July.

Police Lt. Ted Reese said police again are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and homes, and not to leave valuables in plain view inside vehicles, even those that are locked.
