Boil Water Alert Issued to About 20 Homes After Water Main Fixed
Water main repaired after widespread disruption to water service on Sunday.
New Jersey American Water Co. has issued a 48-hour boil advisory to about 20 homes in the immediate vicinity of Sunday's water main break on Valley Road that left about 1,000 customers with no _ over very little — water on Sunday morning into Sunday afternoon, said Township Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Shimsky.
The leak in the water main was located on Sunday afternoon, with service restored after the repair.
Shimsky said that all residents affected by the boil-water advisory have been notified by the water company.
