Update: Man Charged With DWI For Route 287 Crash In Bernards Township

Update - Calvin Luk, 25, has been charged with driving while intoxicated in relation to Sunday morning's crash that resulted in the fatality of a Sparta man, according to nj.com

Salvatore Sarrecchia, 47, was killed in the three-car collision around 2:04 p.m. after Calvin Luk's, 25, BMW veered off the road, struck a guard rail, and ended up in both the center and right lanes of Route 287. Unable to avoid Luk's vehicle, Sarrecchia crashed into the BMW - causing his Mercedes-Benz to halt in both the center and left lanes, according to nj.com

Sarrecchia was reportedly standing outside of his vehicle when a third car, a Chevy Tahoe driven by Lawrence Lynn, a Human Services police officer, was driving in the left lane and was unable to avoid both crashed vehicles, crashing into Sarrecchia and his Mercedes, according to nj.com.
