The cause of a fire that destroyed a Geiger Lane home in Warren Township has not been determined, but is considered "non-suspicious," Capt. Jack Bennett, spokesman for the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, said Wednesday.
The origin of the fire was identified as being in the living room behind the couch, Bennett said.
Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze at 9 Geiger Lane shortly before 10 p.m. last Thursday.
Mark and Galena Yusim, and their son, Daniel, made it out of the home just before windows began shattering, according to the Echoes-Sentinel.
"It spread so fast,” Daniel Yusim told the Echoes-Sentinel. “The house turned into a furnace."
The three-alarm fire took about an hour to place under control, Warren Township Fire Chief Michael LoSapio said
