Bernardsville 9/11 Service of Remembrance

In October, 2001 children in Bernardsville solicited their neighbors to order Krispy Kreme doughnuts; they delivered them to homes early on a November Saturday morning, thereby raising over $22,000. These proceeds were used to build the 9-11 Memorial at the Bernardsville Public Library, which was dedicated in May, 2002. On 9/11/2011 the community is invited to hear two of the children who participated ten years ago read about Tom Reinig and Allison Horstmann Jones, a bagpiper will play, the borough will present a wreath and Rep. Leonard Lance will present a flag, which will be raised by a U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard.
