Bernards Republican Committee Candidates Discuss Issues [VIDEO]

The two Republican incumbents will face two Democratic challengers on Election Day.

Four candidates competing for two open positions on the Bernards Township Committee introduced themselves and spoke about some of the issues in the township at the Oct. 18 candidates' forum hosted by the Ridge Empowerment for Political Participation club, and moderated by the League of Women Voters of Somerset County.

The candidates for the two three-year positions included Republican incumbents John Malay and Carolyn Gaziano, who is this year's deputy mayor, and Democratic challengers Michael Komondy and David Ferdinand.

Here are the statements by the Republican candidates. The statements by Democrats have already been presented on Patch.
