IN SHORT
The Red Devils' Cinderella season came to an end after they started the season with a eight-game losing streak, only to recove to win 11 of 15 games and take the Somerset County Championship and win their first game in the sectional tournament.

But it was not to be on this Friday. Behind, 2-0, Ridge captain Greg Fazio hit a line drive down the third base line for a three-run triple that put Ridge into the lead. But in the sixth inning, after two consecutive Hunterdon Central batters were hit by pitches, Zak Sokoloski drove a ball 345 feet over the right field fence, scoring three runs to put Central up 5-3.

COACH'S TAKE
"It was a heck of a game. We did what we have always been doing; we were down 2-0 and came back and took the lead. And to their credit, a kid hits a home run to beat us. Our kids played great, they played with the heart that they have been playing with all year long. I am very proud of them." - Ridge head coach Tom Blackwell
