Ridge Cafeteria Accounting Errors Reportedly Fixed

Some students reportedly told they had deficits of a few hundred dollars.

It supposedly started when the computers malfunctioned in the Ridge High School cafeteria earlier this fall, and students "My School Bucks" accounts were affected.

Into last week, students were saying that account deficits of up to a few hundred dollars were being reported in their online school cafeteria accounts. The school district send out an email to Ridge parents saying the issue was being addressed.

Information now believed '100 percent accurate'

Bernards Township Schools Superintendent Nick Markarian told the Board of Education on Monday night that all accounts now are supposed to be up to date, with correct information taken from a backup third-party computer server.

"We believe that as of Friday, what parents see [online] is 100 percent accurate," Markarian said.

Parents with questions can still call the school cafeteria, he said.

The email message to parents advised them to send an email at cwisbeski@bernardsboe.com
