Ridge Freshmen Football Can't Overcome Immaculata in Opening Game

Solid performance not enough to win against rival freshman team.

The Ridge High School freshman football team played host to the Immaculata Spartans Saturday morning to open their 2011 season.  Immaculata took the game 28-14.

Ridge was lead by quarterback Ryan Walsh and was joined in the backfield by Danny DeMarco and William Vogt.

"I thought our team played tough and they showed a lot of resolve.  The team started a little slow and ended up beating Immaculata in the 2nd half.  We have a lot to look forward to if we keep working hard." — Ridge freshman football coach J.P. Mahoney
