Ridge Students Exchange Cars for Chariots [VIDEO]

A blast from the past—way in the past—is educational and entertaining.

Latin students geared up for the sixth annual Ridge Latin Club Chariot Race and Siege Weapon expo on Monday with 11 chariots and 10 siege weapons participating in the scene that could have been out of the Roman colosseum. (well, maybe)

The event was held in front of the high school from 3:15 to 5 p.m., after traffic had cleared after school.

The participating students are part of the "incredibly vibrant" and long-running Latin program at Ridge, according to Joshua Gebhardt, Latin teacher and adviser of the school's Latin Club.
