The Somerset Hills Lacrosse Club is hosting its sixth annual “BTO Lacrosse Classic” on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Mountain Park in Bernards Township, New Jersey. The 8th grade Somerset Hills Lacrosse Club boys team, with teams from the surrounding area, including Branchburg, Bridgewater, Chester/Mendham, Florham Park, The Hills, Hillsborough, Ridge Youth Lacrosse and Somerset Hils will compete. In addition to great lacrosse action, the event will feature a silent auction, music, great food, a 50/50 raffle and a Speed Gun shoot out. Tournament begins at 4:00 pm.
This is the longest running event for Bryan’s Dream Foundation and has raised more than $50,000 for the Foundation, which provides support and assistance to children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors. The Foundation provides services to benefit children in approximately twenty-five hospitals across the country including local hospitals such as Children’s Hospital of New York, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Cohen Children’s Medical Center and NYU and was established in memory of Bryan Opremcak, a Bernards Township 7th grader, who passed away from a brain tumor in 2006.
