Somerville Jazz Festival

The Somerville JazzFest Art Exhibit and Sale will be held on the Somerset County Courthouse Green from 1 to 6 p.m. rain or shine. Visitors to the Festival are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs as the Festival is lawn seating only. Visitors may begin seating at noon.

The festival will open at 1:00 p.m with a National Moment of Remembrance in honor of 9/11 and the singing of National Anthem by Jayne Maggio.

Artists includeWycliffe Gordon, The Mimi Jones Band, Helen Sung, Allan Harris, and the Jazz House Kids.

An array of fascinating and affordable artwork will be available for sale as well as woodwork, jewelry, drawings, sculpture and textiles. 

Downtown Somerville restaurants at the Festival Food Court which will offer a variety of delicious food for purchase. Verve Restaurant will feature an outdoor beer and wine garden for visitors over 21 years of age, along with a light lunch menu.

Volunteers from Operation Shoebox New Jersey will collect donations of personal care items at the Jazz Festival that will be packaged and shipped to members of the US military deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. 

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Festival Food Court and Verve Restaurant's Wine and Beer Garden.
