Recent Mavericks Soccer Scores

Mavericks traveling soccer teams continue season.

The following are the results of some recent games played by the Ridge Mavericks Soccer Club traveling teams.

The Ridge Mavericks U8  (under age 8) boys Hurricanes lost to the Readington Raiders in Readington Township, 1-0 in their second game of the season on Sept. 25. Andrew Buzby was goalkeeper the first half and kept the Raiders from scoring while Etai Geller took possession of the ball several times, helping the team advance. Christopher Profaca played a strong second half with assertive forward passes.

The Ridge Mavericks U9 Falcons girls played their first game of the season on Sun., Sept. 26 at Hillsborough, falling to the Pumas 2-0.  A scoreless first half, led by the strong goalkeeping of Falcons Brynn Weisholtz and solid defense of Katelyn Lipkind, gave way to two early second half tallies by the Pumas. Overall, a very solid effort by our girls in their first game, taking on a well-tested Hillsborough squad.
