Ridge Girls Soccer Ready to Kick Off New Season

Girls and boys soccer to play first match this Friday against Bridgewater-Raritan.

The Ridge girls soccer team, led by head coach Katie Donahue, was out on Lee Field even in a misty day last week practicing kicks, runs, goal-blocking and other tricks of their sport.

Ridge athletic director Rich Shello said the girls varsity soccer team will begin its season this Friday, with an away match at 3:45 p.m. against rival and powerhouse Bridgewater-Raritan.

Boys soccer also faces Bridgewater-Raritan

Boys soccer versus Bridgewater-Raritan will play at home at 3:45 p.m. Friday at Ridge High School off South Finley Avenue.

The girls players practicing last week included all grade levels at the high school, Donahue said.
