Take NJ Trainsit —Or Head to Bernards Library — to See Giants Parade

Bernards Library to invite public to watch victory parade at the lower lobby at 11 a.m.

New Jersey Transit is offering extra service on select bus routes, increasing capacity on some train lines, and—along with some advice—adding customer service representatives at Newark Penn Station and Hoboken terminal Tuesday morning to assist Giants fans attending the Super Bowl victory ticker-tape parade in Lower Manhattan.

The parade will begin downtown at Battery Place and Washington Street at 11 a.m., and continue northward up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. The parade will wrapup a ceremony at City Hall Plaza. Those heading in were urged to make the trip after 9 a.m. to avoid commuter crowds, and to have someone drop them off at crowded commuter lots at stations.

Or, you can just drive into Basking Ridge center to join some like-minded Giants fans.

The library plans to position its large screen television in the lower lobby on Tuesday morning, and stream the Giants' ticker-tape victory parade coverage starting at 11 a.m., the library director said.

"Feel free to drop by if you have the opportunity," Lufkin said. She said the library had only a chance to do basic publicity for the idea, including issuing the invitation on the Bernards Township Library Facebook page.
