The Ridge High School Red Devils freshman football team headed out to practice on Wednesday afternoon, come rain or shine — or mud.
As with their varsity football counterparts, the frosh Red Devils will begin their season by facing Montgomery High School.
But beforehand, they'll have to get on the field for a number of scrimmage games — starting with Thursday's scheduled scrimmage against South Plainfield.
