USGA Museum on Yahoo List of Top 5 Golf Museums

The United States Golf Association Museum in Bernards Township was on Monday included in Yahoo's online list of Top Five Golf Museums in America, as selected by a self-proclaimed fan of the centuries-old sport.

"For those of us who want a look at the history of golf, there are five museums in the United States to obsess over the history of the world's most popular recreational sport," wrote Yahoo contributor William Browning.

The museum, in an historic mansion, houses over 100 years of artifacts and history. "As with any good golf museum, there are hands-on exhibits like putting with wooden clubs and practicing on an 18-hole putting course on the grounds of the museum," Browning wrote.

The museum decorated its historic building with a temporary exhibit, to continue through the end of the year.

The hours for the museum at 77 Liberty Corner Road, in the Far Hills section of Bernards Township, are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed Monday and major holidays.
