'Art On The Ridge' Will Fill Downtown

Farmstead Arts' first Indoor/outdoor show showcasing local artists at local businesses venues set for June 23.

Take a stroll through downtown Basking Ridge later this month as the presents Art On The Ridge, an indoor and outdoor art exhibit and sale involving five township businesses and 19 local artists on Saturday, June 23. 

The local businesses are scheduled to host 19 local artists’ works from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day. Throughout the show, guitarist Arturo, a Basking Ridge-based musician, will provide entertainment on South Finley Avenue nearby

Following the event, will host an Artists’ Reception to includes complementary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar open to the public between 3 to 6 p.m.

This is the first Art On The Ridge exhibit to be hosted by the Farmstead Arts, and is being presented to bring awareness to the local arts. Farmstead Arts is located at the Kennedy-Martin-Stelle Farmstead at 450 King George Road in Basking Ridge.
 
The downtown businesses to be displaying art work and hosting artists, including 15 West Oak Street; , 77 S. Maple Ave.; 1 S. Finley Ave.; 47 S. Finley Ave.; and Ridge Family Dentistry, 44-A S. Finley Ave.

Look for the balloons located outside the locations. Participating artists, many from Basking Ridge, include Vivian Bedoya, Alex Bigatti, Joanne Devine, Filip Everaert, Abi Fellows, Maryann Ficker, Anthony Galati, Laurine Gilbert,  Jim Gilbert, Mary Gunning, Kathleen Kirchner, Hilary Klimek, Linda Lam, Cinder LeDell, Kristina Lloyd, Yitzchok Moully, Letty Oratowski, Lorraine Regan, and David Smalley.
 
Other Farmstead Arts events in June include Basking Ridge resident Filip Everaert’s photography show, Impressions of Nature Exhibit and Sale, that runs through June 24. Gallery hours for the show, located at the Farmstead Arts, are 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, except Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17.  The show is free and open to the public.
