Snow showers, more cold ahead, and another potential snow storm for early next week!

Happy Wednesday to everyone! The snow has begun to fall in parts of South and Central New Jersey. But just as fast as it has come in, it will be departing. Expect any snow showers and heavier snow bands to be gone by the afternoon. You can see on the radar below, the heaviest snow is over Cape May County at this hour.

So onto the rest of the week. The theme will be cold air for a few days! Wind chills will be especially worrisome, so dress appropriately and plan ahead any long term traveling you may have to do.

Sunday is where things get interesting. I have been keeping an eye on a larger storm system that will be making its way across the country. This will be different from the previous coastal low storms we have seen recently. However, with it brings the potential for a prolonged snow/sleet/rain event, possibly lasting from Sunday night into Tuesday. I do warn you, this will be a very complex, multi-storm system that could be quite messy for early next week. Heavier snow is possible, but a shift in the track could lead to a mix or rain or lesser amounts. It is something I will be tracking very closely over the next few days.

Stay safe!
