Originally in business management working as a subject matter expert and trainer, Mrs. Bain entered the special education field to support and empower children with special needs.  Her own children have special needs and it seemed only natural to return to school for her Masters in Special Education.

Colleen's daughter has a brain injury and many learning disabilities and ADHD.  Colleen has lived this for over 14 years and knows firsthand the struggles that impact the child and the family because learning is difficult.

Enhanced Learning Skills for Kids specializes in providing coaching, education, training, teaching and transformation to children who wish to improve their ability to learn easier and efficiently to reach their full potential.  Services are available in person and online for both in state and out-of-state clients.  Professionals also look to Colleen for her expert coaching relative to supporting and starting a brain training business.  Colleen has helped other professionals around the world become Certified Student Transformation Specialists to then help children in their own community be able to learn easier and more efficiently. Colleen is also the Founder of The Online Association of Brain Trainers bringing together a community of teachers, clinicians, parents and trainers.  Live monthly guest expert webinars are provided where innovation in education is shared and made available to help students learn easier and teachers be able to reach students.

Some of Colleen's present projects include working with military bases in Okinawa, Japan to help children of military families receive a solid foundation of cognitive skills so regardless of how many new schools they must attend, they are able to keep progressing and learning.  She is also working in setting up options to help schools and students in Costa Rica.  She works with her Certified Student Transformation Specialists located in these countries.

She is also targeted to start working with trainers in Oklahoma who want to provide their athletes with the edge on the field as well as in the classroom.

Locally, Colleen is in negotiations to start partnering with a tri-state agency to begin offering these types of programs to schools - especially Title1 schools.  She hasn't had much luck with the Hillsborough District as of yet but keeps trying!  :-)    She currently has consultants in Morristown and Annandale.

Colleen is also one of the lead moderators on The International Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS) Support Network.  She is actively involved in 4H (Stablemates).

Colleen works from her home office allowing her to help change the lives of many students while still being able to meet the demands of caring for her own children - one with educational and medical needs.
